Morning 03:33
A Lion in the morning, and we've forgotten the pride. Of thousands in the making -- on his back we will ride. And, crown the king, dressed in white, as he takes the throne forever in light. We are not alone. A horse in the evening, tethered to a post. She is in my arms, now. She is everything, now. And, crown the king, dressed in white, as he takes the throne forever in light. We are not alone

about

Here's another man, acoustic guitar, and naked voice. But Pittsburgh vet Finn has been at this a while, and he's a special type: he freezes you in apprehension rather than soothes your soul. It's not just that this is the kind of quiet that chills; or that his voice, a near-whisper, comes from deep dark within; or that the occasional spare backing just makes the mood more precarious. It's his lyrics: full of foreboding for his mental health, like "It's a long way down to the bottom of the well." It's a realistic melancholy of loss and long recovery. More than influences like Iron & Wine or Will Oldham, Finn is a new Mark Kozelek (Red House Painters), in his highly similar voice, wounded fragility, and frozen silent beauty. And his brittle folk will be haunting you for days with its wounded humanity.
